AEESP-AAEES JOINT AWARDS
The AAEES Foundation confers a set of additional awards to our community for outstanding contributions to environmental engineering and science education, research, and practice. While financially supported by the AAEES Foundation, the recipients are selected by a joint committee of AAEES and AEESP members.
Faculty Awards
The Frederick George Pohland Medal
This award honors an individual who has made sustained and outstanding efforts to bridge environmental engineering research, education, and practice.
Excellence in Environmental Engineering Education (E4) Award
The E4 Award will be granted to an educator who has made a significant contribution to the profession in the area of educating practitioners. The award will be jointly administered by AAEES and AEESP and will be bestowed annually at the AAEES Excellence in Environmental Engineering (E3) awards banquet.
Student Awards
William Brewster Snow Award
This award is given annually to recognize an environmental engineering graduate student who has made significant accomplishments in an employment or academic engineering project.
W. Wesley Eckenfelder Graduate Research Award
This award is given annually to recognize an environmental engineering or environmental science graduate student whose research contributes to the knowledge pool of wastewater management. The award selection will be based on original, innovative research of publishable quality and other factors.
Paul F. Boulos Excellence in Computational Hydraulics/Hydrology Award
This award is given annually to recognize a student whose research contributes to the knowledge pool of in the area of Computational Hydraulics & Hydrology. The award selection will be based on original, innovative research of publishable quality and other factors listed below. Both Master's and Ph.D. students are eligible.
