Webinar Summary
In the face of persistent Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) contamination, how can we effectively manage and remediate these pollutants at large-scale sites? This webinar will explore the comprehensive program management and technical strategies developed by Stanley Consultants and AECOM as part of the Tinker Air Force Base PFAS Remediation Program. We will discuss the development of essential plans, including the Project Management Plan (PMP), Accident Prevention Plan (APP), Community Relations Plan (CRP), and how initial field sampling and Pre-Design Investigation (PDI) results were used to refine the project scope. Attendees will gain valuable insights on innovative treatment methods such as ion exchange, foam fractionation and PFAS destruction and how pilot testing these technologies can inform treatment selection and design requirements, leading to coordinated, data-driven project delivery.
