Webinar Summary
An abundant supply of minerals (the likes of which has never been seen before) is essential for the transition from fossil fuel-based energy to clean energy. A successful decarbonization process (the main tool to combat climate change) depends on the responsible and sustainable production and procurement of minerals from mines around the world. This webinar discusses the importance of responsible mining operations through the implementation of ESG (Environment, Social Responsibility, and Governance) principles and protocols.
This webinar will achieve the following objectives:
- Provide an overview of minerals required for the energy transition.
- Present a sustainable and responsible mining approach for the production and procurement of mineral products.
- Discuss the case study of Anglo American’s Quellaveco Mine in Peru, and their goal to be one of the most sustainable and responsible mines in the world.
